Degrees

We’ve crafted degree programs with breadth and flexibility. We have four year BA and BFA degrees with several concentrations including graphic design, teaching licensure, a fast two year degree in graphic design, or you can minor in art!

Foundations

All art degrees include several core courses:

  • Two-Dimensional Design
  • Color Theory
  • Elements of Drawing
  • Three-Dimensional Design (optional for AA)
  • Art History 1 – Prehistory to Early Renaissance
  • Art History 2 – Renaissance to Modern

Art Core

Bachelor’s degree students will have courses in Painting, Printmaking, Life Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, and upper level Art History. Students earning an AA degree in Graphic Design will move directly into that concentration which includes courses in Typography, Illustration, and Web Design.

Concentrations

Toward the end of your sophomore year you’ll declare a concentration in one of these areas — Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Ceramics, Sculpture, or Graphic Design.

Bachelor of Fine Arts
